There are so many blogging platforms to choose from and it is pretty much the first thing you have to do. I am going to assume you already have heard of WordPress and that is the platform I strongly support. It is huge.
Basically, it is one of the biggest blogging platform in the world with millions of plugins and add-ons. Plus, there are so many ways to design your blog layout.
There are more than 82 million active users of WordPress, which is a lot, basically.
However, there are other alternatives that you can choose:
While they are good picks, here are my reasons why you should still go with WordPress:
I wrote an article discussing about several different blogging platforms (including WordPress), feel free to check it out:
Now we have reached Step 2, we are moving fast!
Whoa, slow down right there! This is the single most important decision you need to make before we go any further. You need to decide whether you should pay for your blog or use free services.
WordPress, Tumblr and Bloggers do offer free blogs for anyone. This is perfect for anyone who isn’t serious about blogging. However, there are some downsides:
If you choose to use free alternatives, your blog website address (URL) will be super-ugly. Like really ugly that makes me want to put a paper brown bag on it. Essentially, free blogs with these free services will look something like this:
Very fugly, ugly, right?
There are way too many limitations if you chose to use free blogs. You can’t take advantage of monetization and you definitely don’t have the ability to upload videos and images that you want to show to your audience. It is very limited. Even worse, you don’t have the access to free themes offered by WordPress.
This does sounds a little silly, but you don’t own your blog. In fact, they are hosted by someone else’s web property and they can easily cut it if they chose to. They have done countless time in the past and will keep doing it in the future. Which means if you invest a lot of time on your blog, all of your hard work writing these blog posts will go poof in few seconds. Sad!
But however, a self-hosted blog on your own domain name – you are the real owner of your blog. You can do whatever the heck you want with your blog such as giving it a name. You even can end your domain extension with .com, .net or .org and basically any web suffix. Plus, you get unlimited bandwidth for images, videos and content in addition to use to free themes and you have a winning combo.
So, how much does hosting and a domain name cost? It is not that pricey as you thought. Typically, they go for around $5 to $10 a month depending on which hosting service provider you choose. I recommend Siteground if you want to build a blog on fast, stable and secure website.
If you do still have questions about starting your own blog on any of these blogging platform, I suggest you to check out my articles:
I am going to go ahead based on assumption that you have decided to pick WordPress. If you haven’t, you should seriously consider pick WordPress. It’s the best.
If you aren’t sure what a self-hosted blog exactly is, allow me to explain and how you can set up one yourself.
You will need to create your own domain name and a hosting company that can host your websites.
Personally, I use Siteground for both my blog domain and hosting. I got nothing but plethora of great things to say about it. It is one of the most secure, reliable and fast hosting providers out of all. A domain name typically will cost you around $10 a year. But with Siteground, they add it for free as well as SSL certificate, built-in cache plugin and content delivery system. I use that providers for all of my blogs, including the one you are reading now.
If there is any reason you prefer not to go with Siteground, feel free to choose your own hosting company. Most of them should have an easy “one-click” WordPress install solution on their admin panel.
That feature will install WordPress on your blog for you. How easy is that!?
All you have to do is sign up with Siteground and choose your own hosting plan and domain name. Then you need to look for one-click WordPress installer on the admin panel.
Once you have WordPress installed on your website. All you have to do to start blogging is visit your WP-Admin page. Which is usually www.yourblogname.com/wp-admin and start writing new posts.
At first impression, the layout might look confusing but you will learn quickly. Don’t worry!
Here is the fun part!
If you want to make your blog look how you want it to be. You need to choose a new theme which can be done by Apperance > Themes and install a free WordPress theme. Alternatively, you can go to ThemeForest and buy a premium theme for around $40.
Usually, I pick something that looks professional and is easy to customize. WordPress has an awesome feature that lets you switch themes with few clicks. If you ever get tired of your current blog template, you can switch to a different theme without losing your precious content.
Most importantly, your blog design style should directly say your personality and you. But it is also what the blog is about. There is no point in having a football-oriented theme if your blog is about tennis or baseball, makes sense right?
On the top of that, your blog needs to be very easy to navigate around if you want to keep people around. If it is too hard to navigate around, then people won’t stay for that long. Designing your blog style is a subjective art. Which means everyone likes different things.
But, nobody likes ugly websites and they hate websites that requires a master’s degree or Ph.D to navigate. My advice to you, make it very easy for your readers.

Today, we are doing a hosting service providers showdown between Siteground vs Namecheap. In this article, we will compare these two competitors to help you make the decision what to buy the services from them. Few days ago we did a comparison of Siteground vs Hostgator and more recently, Namecheap vs GoDaddy.
To run a profitable affiliate marketing website and successful social media, you need to have a good hosting service provider, right? Without a great hosting service provider, it is a challenge to keep your website afloat consider speed, protection and content plays big factors in how well your site ranks.
Before we start comparing Siteground vs Namecheap. I want to let you know how we will rank them. There will be five categories that determines how well each hosting service providers performs. The five categories are: Pricing Plans, Customer Support, Speed, Uptime, and finally, Security.
Often of the time when a customer checks out a hosting service provider, they are not sure if that hosting company is worth the money. Which is why I created an article about Siteground vs Namecheap to help readers like you understand which one is a better choice for you.
It is also important to keep in your mind that all hosting companies comes with advantages and disadvantages. While it is obvious that there are some really bad hosting companies which you should just completely avoid them at all the cost. Both Namecheap and Siteground are well known companies that makes them serious competitors. Read below to learn more.
Nobody likes to pay too much money for hosting plans, right? How much money you want to spend to run your website is first and foremost a deciding factor. Both Siteground and Namecheap have different pricing plans. But their packages is very different too, one with a lite version and another one with bundled version.
It depends on your budget and how much you want to spend on. If you are concerned about protecting your websites from hackers and any malware activity. Then you might consider about spending few extra bucks just to ensure that your sites is protected.
In this part, I will compare the pricing plans between Siteground vs Namecheap. I will explain what each hosting companies’ plans brings to the table. Be prepared to learn and see what Namecheap vs Siteground has to offer for your website needs.
To register a domain with .com extension will set you back for $10.98 a year. Although there is an ICAN fee surchage which will bring the subtotal to approximately $11.47 to register for a domain. Although, do not underestimate this, Namecheap is one of the cheapest domain register provider that you can buy a domain from.
Namecheap offers three hosting plans: Stellar, Stellar Plus, and Stellar Business. The most basic hosting plan you can get starts at $2.88 a month. There is no introductory price or anything like that. That price is what you will pay a month to keep your website running at Namecheap.
Unlike the HostGator and BlueHost which uses introductory month to reel in buyers, Namecheap is very straightforward and upfront with their monthly pricing plans You also can purchase their hosting plans for one year and get a small discount.
Even more so, the plans comes with free SSL certificate, cPanel, personal e-mail and of course a WordPress installed on your websites. As you can see, the basic hosting plan offers you 20GB of webspace which is actually a lot if you are managing up to three websites and still have plenty leftover.
Plus, you get unmetered bandwidth for any hosting plans you choose. Although, there is special restriction on how fast you can download and upload the files on the websites. The bandwidth are reset based on hourly. Stellar Business hosting plan have fewer accounts on the server, which means you have more webspace, more bandwidth and are less prone to spammers and hackers.
Though, as their low price almost sounds too good to be true. If you want to have a dedicated IP server for your domain, you will have to pay an extra $2 per month. Although, they do not offer any protection for your website with these hosting plan. You can get Premium DNS which will set you back $4.88 a year. Read more about these plans in details by visiting here.
Siteground offers you the ability to register hosting plan and domain within the same plan. If you do plan to register for a domain on Siteground, it will set you back around $15.95 for one year. It is slightly more expensive than Namecheap, but it comes with few perks such as domain privacy, protection and of course personal e-mail.
It might be tempting to register for a domain on Namecheap and have Siteground point the nameservers toward the domain because it is cheaper to do so. Unless you are a budget savvy. I do not recommend doing that because it will make the whole process more complex and confusing. If you register both domain and hosting plan within the same company, you will be able to get a better customer support.
Siteground does an excellent job outlining what each hosting package have to offer and how much you will get from those plans. If you are looking at the cheapest plan options, you are at slightly disadvantage with a more expensive monthly price. The basic package offers you a webspace of 10GB and you are limited to one website.
Admittedly, it is a great hosting plan if you know what you are going to do. But for many people who are unsure what to do, especially first timers. The basic hosting plan isn’t a great choice. If you do plan to buy a hosting package from Siteground, be sure to read my article how to choose the right hosting plan at Siteground that is worth your money.
Each hosting plan includes featurers from StartUp to GoGeek. Although, if you want to run a website, GrowBig is highly recommended for starters. I can list all the features that Siteground has to offer in their hosting plans. But they are very extensive. You can check their hosting plan details by visiting here.
Regardless, all hosting plans comes with SSL Certificate, Web Protections and Dedicated IP Server for your domain. From the point of view, it sounds like Namecheap is a better choice for those who are budget savvy. But in the end, Namecheap’s packages is essential a lite verison of Siteground’s bundled packages.
Since this round is about pricing, the winner goes to Namecheap.
Perhaps the most important organ of all hosting companies is customer support. Without an effective and smooth customer support, there will be a lot of issues… and of course angry customers. Afterall, as a customer, you want to have your issue resolved, right?
Basically, that is what the customer support does. They read your issues, explore and find solutions for you in timely manner. But communication is also key in the customer support where the customers can be felt like they are understood instead of having to struggle with someone who doesn’t understand their native language.
When it comes to comparing Siteground vs Namecheap, they are very close. Read more to find out which hosting company has the best customer support service center for all your hosting issues.
Unlike Siteground, the Namecheap customer support interface is very simple and bland. However, it works just like most of the hosting company customer support services. I only register few domains with Namecheap, so I was curious to see how good their customer support is.
I decided to submit chat ticket regarding to a pre-sale question for hosting plan. Without hesitation, an agent joined the conversation and greeted me. I didn’t even have time to say hello first. Plus the agent have their own face avatar on the top right corner to help humanizes the conversation. Which is actually great on my book.
Below is the conversation between me and a Namecheap agent. It didn’t took more than five minutes for the agent to answer my question. He was very prompted, responsive and answered my questions without hesitation.
Although, while their customer support service is fast, responsive and honest. They hardly wows me and there was no point why I was convinced to purchase their services. When I compared Namecheap to Siteground. I felt that Siteground has taken a much more friendly approach toward their clients because they are all about taking care of the issues.
Namecheap customer support is U.S based. This means all agents you will meet will be able to understand your issues right away. Especially that majority of the website users are English and there is a high demand for English-speaking customer support to meet the needs.
Since I switched to Siteground, I stayed with them for almost a year and never felt the need to find a different hosting company. Siteground prides by putting their customers first and taking care of issues immediately. Hence, their motto goes: “Crafted with Care.”
There are at least two ways you can request for customer support. First and foremost fastest way to contact an agent is submitting a chat ticket. You will be taken to a new window with pulsing heartbeat. My wait time for an agent to address my ticket is always under 5 minutes. Plus, they will always be the first one to say hello that you do not even have a time to say hello first.
I really like how they included profile of their agent that helps build connection and humanizes the conversation. Instead of typing back and forth that does sounds a bit too robotic. Below is a conversation between me and one of Siteground’s agent, Martin D. who responded to my issue regarding a domain not loading properly for some reason. As you can see, I got my issue resolved under 4 minutes and he provided an answer how to fix it.
The only thing that sets Siteground apart from Namecheap is their ability to wows their customers by demonstrating their knowledge, skills and providing undivided attention. They are fast, responsive and communicates well. Every tickets I have made with them, I never had a single issue with communication and always left satisfied.
If you are fed up with your current hosting service provider customer support that can’t understands your issue or takes too long time to resolve. Siteground does a great job at resolving issues quickly and in timely manner. Plus their customer support is U.S based.
For these reasons, Siteground is the clear winner this round.
Did you know that speed plays an important role in ranking your website pages for search engine optimization purpose? According to statistics, websites that loads fast brings in more traffic which results in ranking high. This is very important if you are looking to improve your conversion rate.
The slower your websites is, the more you are going to lose out on conversion rate and end up hurting your income. Which is why speed is extremely important than ever since it is a ranking factor for Google, Bing and Yahoo! as well other minor search engines.
Let’s find out which hosting service providers is the best pick for speed ranking factor. Without further ado, let’s begin the third round!
In this section, I will demonstrate the speed results with different combination of plugins such as cache and content delivery network. With WP Super Cahce using Namecheap hosting plan, your website will have an average loading speed of 2.85 seconds. Which is well above acceptable loading time for visitors.
Although, the content delivery network plays a major role in doing all the heavy lifting for your website. The best loading speed you can get is merely 1.01 second with either WP Rocket + Cloudflare or W3 Total Cache + Cloudflare.
I do think Namecheap still can improve their loading speed by enabling compression and caching headers. Even though so, their speed is towered by big brand hosting companies like BlueHost and Siteground. If you wanted to make your website load fast and smoothly as possible, You would have to pay extra in order to achieve fast website speed which is something most do not want to do that.
Siteground claimed that they have the speed technology to deliver your content at blazing fast speed. I tested their claim to verify if it is actually true. With WP Super Cache, the website has a loading speed of 1.81 second, which is considerable faster than Namecheap and meets the acceptable standard.
Although, you can take the loading speed even further by implementing W3 Total Cache and Cloudflare to achieve a loading speed under 1 second. Best of all, Siteground comes with their own CDN and Cache plugins that are delivered to your website via servers for free.
Which means you will never, never, ever have to install CDN or Cache plugin on your website. This is really important to have lighting fast website. As of current, Siteground is the only hosting company that offers combination of Cloudflare and Super Cache perks to enhance your website performance.
According to a case study, a website that makes $200,000 an hour is experiencing downtime. For every one minute, that company loses out on the opportunity to generate $833 profit. Downtime always equates to lost traffic which means lost business.
This is common no matter how big or small businesses are. Although, there are certain hosting companies you should keep your eyes peeled if you are looking for one that has an excellent uptime. Having a company that achieves 100% uptime is not possible.
Most realistically, you will see that they are able to maintain at least 99.9% or higher. In fact, some hosting companies like Namecheap and Siteground do offer uptime guarantee that if your website goes below 99.9% of the time, you will be entitled to a free month worth credit.
Let’s compare Namecheap vs Siteground to see which one has the best uptime as they claims to have.
Namecheap on average has a response time of 635.55 millisecond. It doesn’t face too much downtime. Which is actually quite impressive for a hosting company that offers cheap plans and domains. Although, while it has fast response time, it fails to deliver your website content because majority of the content is loaded on your site, not the servers.
However, if you do decided to pay extra for content delivery network and caching plugin to use with Namecheap hosting plan and have the content delivered to your visitors directly from the servers itself. It can really make an impact on how fast and responsive your website is. Namecheap has a uptime rate of 99.5% and greater.
Siteground remains relatively stable for major of the time with a couple of spikes. It has an average response of 1085.22 millisecond, which is slightly longer than Namecheap’s response time. Although, it is important to keep in your mind that Siteground comes with built-in content delivery network and caching plugin.
Which means that all of your content are already on the Siteground’s server that impacts on how fast your website loads. As for the downtime, Siteground rarely experiences downtime. They constantly have a uptime rate of 99.97% or higher. As you can see Siteground has longer response time, but has slightly better uptime rate than Namecheap does.
It is obvious that Siteground is the winner for the uptime results.
Did you know that cyberattack is very common and can cause you to lose profit by just hacking your website? As a website owner, it is your responsbility to ensure all the data are protected. If your website gets breached and the data are compromised, you might face legal and regulations consequences.
This is very, very important that you choose the right hosting service provider that will protect your websites. Even if it does come at some extra expenses will go an extra mile.
In this case, you might be wondering which web hosting service provider is geared to provide you a complete website and e-mail security for everyday uses. Let’s find out which one is best.
Aside from Namecheap insansely low price hosting plans. Their security is minimal at its best. At first, I was very skeptical if they have built-in security already. The chance is likely that they do not have any features implemented to protect users like you from cyberattacks.
I decided to investigate and chatted with Stats Ivanyuk, a customer representative of Namecheap and inquired about website protections. He response to my question was:
Stats Ivanyuk: I am afraid I did not get it quite straight. We do not provide any DDoS protection. In case you would like to use Spam Protection on our Shared hosting. Mod_security is enabled for all the Shared hosting plans by default and in case of suspicious activity, you may be notified regarding it via email.
They do not include DDoS protection or anything like that for your website, but protection for your e-mail systems. If you want to add extra layer of protections, you have to pay extra which makes everything even more complex and confusing. In my opinion, it is not entirely worth the cost at all.
With their incredible speed, world-class response and amazing customer service support. Siteground has one of the best website security for all of hosting plans. No matter what plan you have, shared or reseller. Even if you pick the cheapest plan available, you will have website security included which is kinda a huge deal.
I decided to look further into this and chatted with Totyu H who is a customer representative at Siteground and asked him questions about website protections. His responses to my question literally blew me away how comfortable he was answering me, demonstrating his knowledge in website security:
Totyu H: We do offer indeed DDOS attack protection and here are some of the protections: A hardware firewall filtering flooding traffic. A local software firewall based on IP tables with more complex functions and traffic monitoring. All services have a limit for the number of connections a remote host can establish. We also check for high number of failed login attempts from hosts and filter if any.
After chatting with Totyu H. I felt very reassured knowing that the websites I hosted with them is protected and in good care. Even though, their pricing plans is a little more expensive, Siteground sure knows how to take care of your website.
The final verdict revealed that Siteground is the clear winner and the best web hosting service provider. But, it boils down to your preference and how you want to host your websites.
In my experience, I always think it is worth the extra cost to pay for a better hosting plan with included security and perks. As your website grows bigger, you inevitable will need security and protections against cyber attacks that threatens your money-making sites.
Yes, Namecheap has the cheapest plan which you only have to pay $3 a month. However, in the end is it really worth paying for a lite version of Siteground?
Needless to remind you that Siteground comes with an annual discounted price for those who register with them the first year. You can get 67% discount off your hosting plan for the first year. If you choose the Grow Big plan which is $19.95 a month. You will only have to pay around $80 for one full year.
Good deal, right? Plus Siteground isn’t like other web hosting service provider that engages in shady business practice and pulls off introductory price stunts on their clients.
Now it is your turn to decide which hosting service provider you want to choose and follow these three simple steps to register your website and start running a money making website.
Keith Ericksen is a successful affiliate marketer and founder of The Money Creator™. His goal is to help readers like you learn how to make money by creating profitable websites. During his leisure time, he enjoys to socialize, playing games, learning new things and hiking.
Whether you are a budget savvy looking for the best and affordable domain to buy for your web hosting. Namecheap and GoDaddy are the top two domain registrar that often goes in head to head competition. Choosing which one is the best domain registrar to buy can be a little confusing for the first time and those who wants to gets the big bang buck out of it.
Which is why I have assembled a guide on which is the best domain registrar to buy. In this article, I will compare Namecheap vs GoDaddy in terms of cost, protection and perks that they has to offer for registering the domains. Read more to find out which domain registrar you should buy from: Namecheap or GoDaddy?
The initial cost of buying a domain can be quite tempting for some people. Because GoDaddy sells their domain for the first time at insanely low price of $0.99. Keep it in your mind that it is for the first year. After it, the cost to renew your domain at GoDaddy goes up to $14.99 a year.
At Namecheap, the cost to buy a domain is $10.98 a year with the same renewal price. As much as GoDaddy sounds almost too good to be true, if you were to keep and invest in the long run. You will want to run an affordable domain registrar.
To compare, if you were to register a domain with Namecheap and own it for 4 years. You will only pay around $44 altogether at Namecheap. While GoDaddy in the same time frame, you would have already shelled out $46. The cost to maintain a domain at GoDaddy becomes overly expensive than Namecheap in the long run.
The biggest catch when it comes to registering for a domain is privacy. Majority of website owners will want to keep their domain information private for good reasons as a protection against spammers, hackers and malware.
At Namecheap, you can obtain Whois Guard for free. Best of all, it is yours forever with no additional cost. Once you get it in bundle with domain purchase, you get to keep it. All domains that you buy at Namecheap is protected regardless of how much you spend to maintain your domain.
Although, GoDaddy will charge $7.99 for domain privacy a year. In addition to its already hefty price renewal price for domain, it makes the cost altogether even more expensive than what it should be. Needless to say this, the domain privacy is only $7.99 for the first year. After that, you will have to pay $9.99 to renew it at GoDaddy.
If you are planning on using a domain for multiple year, you can save big bucks on it. Why spend $15 to $20 to maintain your domain every year when you can just buy and own it up to 10 years for under $100? To draw comparsion how really good the discount is at Namecheap vs Godaddy.
At Namecheap, if you select 10 years, you only have to pay $107.60. That comes with Whois Guard protection already included and your own e-mail for free. GoDaddy on the other hand, only charge you $92.70 for ten years.
But they don’t come with domain privacy or personal e-mail either. If you want to include both and use them for 10 years, you will spend approximately $450 on GoDaddy within the same time frame compared to Namecheap.
As you can see how obvious it is, the Namecheap is the winner. GoDaddy low price might sound almost too good to be true. But it is a business strategy of theirs in an attempt to recruit new members to buy their services. Their cost is often separated and hidden that is quite deceptive.
Namecheap, on the other hand is slightly expensive for the initial cost. But their domains comes with Whois Guard and personal e-mail included. Their price is very stable and reliable, it never changes. Once you buy their domain at certain price, you get to keep it at the same price which is actually very nice.
Keith Ericksen is a successful affiliate marketer and founder of The Money Creator™. His goal is to help readers like you learn how to make money by creating profitable websites. During his leisure time, he enjoys to socialize, playing games, learning new things and hiking.
When it comes to purchasing a hosting plan for your website. Many times people pay monthly plans for two reasons: they aren’t sure of the hosting service provider and their quality support. Secondly, they simply want to try things out for themselves.
What if I were to tell you that you didn’t have to do that? Instead you can have Siteground host your website on yearly basis for much lower price? Siteground is one of the fastest growing hosting service provider with more than 1 million active domains.
But I will tell you whether you should pay monthly or yearly for a hosting plan at Siteground. As you can see, I am a strong supporter of Siteground and almost every content you will see affiliate links to that company. Because of Siteground’s impressive quality, features and reputation easily makes it the best hosting service provider.
There are pros and cons why you should buy monthly or yearly hosting plans. Depending on how you choose your hosting plans, some would go monthly before switching to annual plans. Which is completely normal. However, in this article, we are talking about should you pay monthly or yearly at Siteground, arguable one of the best hosting service provider.
As you can see, Siteground has dominated its competitors against Namecheap and especially Hostgator in all categories like customer support, server speed, protections and more. If you have seen the price on Siteground hosting plan, they are slightly expensive than majority of hosting service provider.
It might be tempting to pay monthly for Siteground hosting plan since it is cheaper option. However, if you were to pay monthly for “GrowBig” plan, it will easily cost you around $240 a year which can scare off some people who are on a tight budget.
Although, there is a yearly plan which you can choose any hosting plan and have it for one year at an impressive discount up to 60% off. With the same hosting plan, you would only have to pay around $75 for one year. With their superior services and quality hosting, it is easy to see why paying yearly for a hosting plan at Siteground is a better choice.
For those who are new to websites and has no experience. It is understandable why monthly plan might be a better alternative choice for those who simply want to play around with it a bit. However, from my experience with Siteground for almost one year. I had no issue with their services and all of my websites hosted at their servers loads blazing fast compared to my former hosting service provider.
I have never heard of Siteground before until I got fed up with HostGator quality of services. So I went on exploration effort to find a new and better hosting service provider. After reading few reviews about Siteground who had said a lot positives thing about this company. I decided to give it try and transferred my website over to their servers.
Because the fact that websites loads fast with Siteground using their built-in Cloudflare Content Delivery Network and SuperCache plugin. All of the heavy lifting work are done on the servers and not the websites itself. This is especially really important for ranking in Google search engine as well improving your conversion rate.
The main focus of Siteground revolves around their customers, putting great deal of care to address any issues they may have. Which is why the customers are prioritized first for high quality services, as contrasted to some hosting service providers who do not care about their clients. In fact, Siteground is well known for its excellent support.
With their perks, advantages and unfounded support, I felt like I have recieved a lot more in value of price compared to other web hosting service providers. I highly recommend that you should pay yearly for any hosting plan you choose. You will not get the same kind of service other than Siteground.
If you are still unsure whether Siteground will be worth the price, they still offer monthly payment. You still have the option to upgrade your hosting plan to yearly payment and get huge discount. As a courtesy, you can get 60% off your hosting plan of any packages you choose.

Siteground offers three type of hosting plans: Web Hosting, Cloud Hosting, and Enterprise Hosting. When it comes to choosing the right hosting plan for your website, it is important that you are aware of the benefits that comes in these packages.
Web Hosting is most affordable plans for majority of websites. Whether you are just a small business owner, blogger or dropshipper selling items online. You do not need a whole lot of resources to run your website.
Cloud Hosting on the other hand is a virtual server that can be accessed remotely via the Internet. Unlike web hosting plans that runs on physical servers, the cloud hosting is delivered via cloud computing environment. They comes with slightly expensive monthly price tag.
Since we are talking about the best hosting plans for beginners only, we won’t be talking about cloud hosting in this article. However, you can read more about best cloud hosting plans to choose at Siteground.
Enterprise Hosting is best suited for large companies that attracts massive traffic every monthly such as Apple, Walmart, Target, and Best Buy. Web Hosting and Cloud Hosting plans will not be able to support large traffic due to limited data space and server size. Since there are no fixed price, you can customize your own enterprise hosting plan and choose how much you want to spend.
Now that we have briefly talked about these three hosting plans. I will discuss about the web hosting plans for beginners and how you can pick the right one for your websites. Sometimes, it can be tempting to go for the cheap plans just to save money. Or to buy expensive plans, just only to find out you don’t really need that plan at all.
Siteground offers at least three different hosting plans for beginners. As you can see they have these package priced with description what it is great for. You can see more details what these hosting plans has to offer.
The most cheap and basic hosting plan to buy for beginners. This plan comes with a free SSL Certificate, Web Protection, 10GB Web Space and can support up to 10,000 visitors monthly. It is the perfect hosting plan for anyone who is just starting off.
Although, this package only can support up to 1 website which means you only can have a domain active on your account. It puts most of people who wants to have multiple domains at same time in a disadvantage position.
Unless you are thinking of picking up this plan. You will need to plan in advance how you are going to use your website for. To help you get started with your first website, please read my article how to create a successful and profitable affiliate marketing website.
Needless to say, the Startup do not make you a top priority customer at Siteground. Thus, you will be put in the slow lane for ticketed issues which can be a bit frustrating at some times. However, that is just how the market works and all other hosting service providers does the same. Except Siteground is a better choice because of bundled website protections against hackers and spammers.
The GrowBig is most popular hosting plan for beginners. It comes with a free SSL Certificate, Web Protection, 20GB Web Space and supports up to 25,000 visitors monthly. Plus this plan puts you in a prioritized lane for customer support.
In addition to that, the Premium features alllows you to have free website transfer, built-in Super Cacher system to improve your website speed and free daily backup restores.
You can rest at ease, knowing that you will get all the support you need for WordPress, WooCommerce and more. Plus, you can add domains as many as you want to. As long as it doesn’t caps out your allocated data space.
This plan is perfect for beginners and intermediate users who have multiple websites. A maximum of 25,000 visitors monthly is more than enough that gives you big room to grow and develop your websites over the time.
GoGeek is most expensive web hosting plans for beginners. Like GrowBig and Startup packages, GoGeek web hosting plan includes free SSL Certificate, web protection, 30GB web space and can support up to 100,000 visitors monthly.
The Geekly features fewer accounts on the same server. Which means less likeihood for hackers and spammers that takes up their servers. More speed and power to your websites. Additionally, you can create staging area for WordPress and Joomla. This allows you to test things out first and implement them to live with a single press of button.
GoGeek web hosting is quite very powerful and packed with a lot of juicy features that will keep you ahead of competitors. Although, it is not recommended for beginners who are starting out and has few domains. However, if you have an already established website with good amount of traffic, then you will find GoGeek an extremely useful and powerful web hosting plan.
It depends on what you want. For starters and first timers, I recommend you to pick the GrowBig package. For a couple of reasons: you might want to own few more domains eventually and have plenty of room to grow.
Plus, it will put you into prioritized lane for support and you get all the features from Startup package. Although, if you are on a tight budget or you do not care about the features that GrowBig hosting plan has to offer. Then Startup web hosting plan is the perfect pick.
If you choose to be bill annually, you will get big discount for the hosting plan you choose. Which makes Siteground a much smarter choice financially and in the end, you get more perks. Plus, you do not have to worry about protections against hackers and spammer. For more information you can read this article how Siteground protects your site and view their extensive list of protection features.
When it comes to shopping for a domain name, you want to be sure that it fits your website and within the niche. Choosing the right domain names is especially important because they are what represents your website.
Sometimes you will come across domains that have high price tag which easily goes for $3,000 to $5,000. In some cases, I have seen domains for sale that has more than $70,000 price tag on it. These are called premium domains.
Not many people can afford to buy premium domains because they come with high price tag. Not only they are expensive, you have to pay hefty price just to own it. Although the renewal cost is the same as owning non-premium domains.
Unless you are rich, you can easily buy premium domain names and dominate the search engines. Generally, when you enter keywords in the domain address that happens to be generic. It is likely that these domains are for sale at premium rate.
You might be saying to yourself, whoa these domains are so expensive! Yes, they are very pricey, but if you are owner of these domains. They come with great SEO advantage which I will explain later.
I have heard of people saying that domains do not matter when it comes to SEO ranking. In fact, they matters a little if you are looking at non-premium domains.
However, the impact of premium domains has on the SEO factor is a lot bigger than you think. The more generic your domain is, the more often you are going to pop up in the search engines. Which in exchange you get to build your brand and gain trust quickly.
In fact, the generic domain appears in the search engine more commonly because of the keywords that naturally boosts your website ranking. Take this for example, aerialdrones.com. If someone types in “aerial” or “drones” and your website with that domain will pop up because they have these keywords inside.
If you are wondering where you can get premium domains for less. Namecheap is a great domain registrar provider that sells domains for a whole lot cheaper than what you have seen in the picture which was taken by GoDaddy.
Just to show you comparison between GoDaddy and Namecheap price tag on the same premium domain:
As you can see it cost $73,255 to buy aerialdrones.com on GoDaddy. On the other hand, it only cost $63,700 to buy on Namecheap with a low renewal price tag.
If you have never own a website before, or you are wondering how you can get domain for less price. Instead of shopping at big brands like GoDaddy, you should buy your domains directly from Namecheap.
They are main domain registrar provider and often hosting service providers partners with them which results in artificially increasing the price of domain within the same company. To see how well Namecheap ranks against other web hosting service providers in selling domains.
Plus your domain can work with any hosting plans of your choice. For this part, I recommend Siteground due to their superior services. And they are running a special discounted price of 67% off any hosting plans for the first year. Read my article why I chose Siteground as my web hosting service provider.
It is important to keep in your mind that while they can be quite expensive to own. They comes with several advantages including:
As I mentioned previously that these keywords are included in the domain already which contributes boost to your website SEO naturally. This is really a big deal not only because you will be able to overpower your competitors. You will be able to establish yourself as the authority and build traffic quickly.
For instance Apple who is famous for selling iPhone and Mac computer. Their domain is www.apple.com and it is a premium domain. “Apple” is a frequent keyword that averages 3,350,000 monthly, organically. Not from words of mouth or from social media. Purely from organic search.
Just imagine how much traffic they must be bringing in everyday just for having that keyword that builds their SEO naturally. The shorter and generic domain is, the bigger boost you are going to get from bringing in the traffic. Mainly because these keywords are searched commonly and secondly, they are easier to remember.
Plus they are trusted and carry HUGE brand with them.
If you are shopping around for a domain to start your own money making websites like affiliate marketing. The only domain registrar I recommend you to buy from is Namecheap. And they are fully compatible with any hosting service provider you choose.
Owning a website can be quite expensive especially if you use a major brand hosting service provider to run your site. Most domains will cost you between $10 and can go as high as $16. A single domain will last for up to 1 year and can be renew on annual basis. So where can you buy cheap domain names?
If you are wondering where you can buy cheap domain names for your websites. There is actually a domain registrar that sells domain very cheap. NameCheap is one of the most affordable domain registrar and web hosting service provider that sells domain as low as $7 for an .com extension.
If you are looking for domains with different extensions like .life or .club, they usually are priced much lower compared to major brands which has to partner with domain registrar and sells them at doubled price.
For those who are budget-savvy to find a cheap domains for their websites. NameCheap is a hassle-free domain registrar provider. In fact, registering your domain with them only takes few seconds and you can use it with any other web hosting service provider like BlueHost or SiteGround.
But wait, why should you buy a domain at NameCheap when other companies are selling better hosting plans and domains at slightly higher price? Wouldn’t that just makes the whole process complex if I separate the companies?
A domain itself is just only the name and the address of your website. Nothing else. The reason why some companies sells domain at high price is because of partnerships and that adds extra price on top of it.
It would be better to buy from the domain registrar itself even though if it means you have to separate the companies. But in the end, you save more money by having an affordable domain. Thus, you reduce the overall expenditure to maintain your websites.
SEO-wise, a cheap domain doesn’t impact your website ranking or anything at all. But financially speaking, having a domain that costs you $7 a year compared to paying $16 a year is a heck better in the long run.
With a cheap domain, you basically have to sign up for hosting plan with a service provider. I highly recommend Siteground and BlueHost due to their renowned speed, security and value for their customers.
Once you register with either of these web hosting service provider, you will have to point the nameservers to the domain via Namecheap. If you register both domain and a hosting plan within the same company, you wouldn’t have to do that.
However because with a cheap domain and you are looking ad the top two best web hosting service provider, pointing the nameservers is necessary in order to have your website go online.
Luckily, it is very easy to do so. All you have to do is locate the nameservers via your hosting plans and inserts them in the Domain Management list. The domain then will scan and detect the nameservers automatically. If you are not sure how to do that or struggle with it. Contact Namecheap customer support representative and they will do it for you.
Yes and No.
I will go with “No” first. There are absolutely no perks you will get for registering a domain with the same company. You won’t get additional features like DNS protection or anything. If you want to have Whois Guard, DNS Protection and other things like that. All of these companies will charge you extra for it.
Now, there is a “yes” for registering a domain within the same company. If you decide that you want to switch to a different domain or edit the name within the same companies. Most of them are very willing to do it for free. And like I said before, some companies do bundled features like DNS protection within purchase of domain already.
However, if you separate and you change your mind regarding domain. You will have to go to that domain registrar and request for change. Plus buying additional features will be separate and won’t be bundled with your hosting plan which can be quite expensive in the long run.
So If you want the best features, you will have to pay more for domain to include protections and web security.
But if you just want to own a domain and link it to a hosting plan. Then you are missing out on all the extra features. Which I do not think a beginner will even really need these extra features at all until they have established and grow their website to a sizable amount of audience to consider these protections.
There are quite few benefits that Namecheap offers to enhance your online stores by adding certificates to your domain. Such as SSL certificate that plays an important role in SEO factor. You will only find the cheapest SSL certificate at Namecheap, nothing else.
Even HostGator is selling SSL Certificate at an obnoxious amount of $40 per year. A simple business SSL certificate only cost you $8.88 a year at Namecheap on top of your domain. This is the most affordable and budget-savvy to run your website.
Namecheap also offer EV Multi-Domain SSL Certificate and they have the best deals for all domain-related stuff. However when it comes to hosting websites with Namecheap, it is better to do with either Siteground and BlueHost.
Budget-wise, if you want to save money on domain-related stuff. You can register your Domains hassle-free with Namecheap. For best website speed, security and customer service, Siteground offers 67% discount off their hosting plans for the first year.

Affiliate marketing has been around for a long time. In fact, it was around since the birth of Internet. However, it didn’t went into full transition until introduction of World Wide Web in 1994. Today, affiliate marketing is one of many ways that can be very profitable in the long run.
But it also takes time, determination and patience to turn a zero income website into a five-figures to six-figures revenue stream generator. In fact, affiliate marketing can be quite a lucrative way to grow and supplement your income. Which is why we have create a monster guide on how to get you started with affiliate marketing.
When I became an affiliate marketer, I wasn’t sure where to start at and wanted to become successful at making a profitable website. Thankfully, I signed up at Wealthy Affiliate, which is a HUGE platform that helps more than 1,000,000 members become successful affiliate marketers.
However if you think affiliate marketing is a quick-way to become rich scheme. It is not. In fact, it took me 4 MONTHS before I saw my first sale which was $0.13 for promoting a drone product. It is not a lot, I know. But it brought in burning passion, excitement and made me want to work more to grow the income.
This is a sample picture of my drone affiliate account which I earn commission for promoting products relating to quadcopters.
And I didn’t even do anything at all. I simply let my work speak for themselves and Amazon pays commission to me for every sale they make through my referral links.
I first started my drone affiliate account back in August 2017 and didn’t see my first sale until Dec 2017. From that point, I started working on growing my income to break the hundreds barrier.
However since drones is toy-based, the interest fluctuates often with winter time and summer time being the best seasons to see increase in commission sales. I can say that I am very optimism about reaching the hundreds barrier by early November to December 2018.
Like I said, affiliate marketing can be very profitable and lucrative way to make a stable source of income enough for you to quit your day jobs. However, you will have to invest a lot of time into affiliate marketing and building content that providers valuable information to your readers.
Actually no. If we all were living in 2004 or 2005. Then maybe it was that hard to start a website because you had to learn how to code and all of these complex stuff. What you need to do is register a domain, get a web hosting plan and install WordPress.
Fortunately, I am a frequent user of Siteground and my experience with them has been very positive so far. Which is why I am sharing the news with you that you can register here and get 67% discount off the first year for any hosting plan you choose.

Luckily, there are two major affiliate marketing platforms that have over +4,000 companies online at ShareASale and ClickBank. And yes, they pay much more generous than Amazon does. Marketing with ShareASale and ClickBank is a bit harder than Amazon, but the rewards is much bigger and can be extremely profitable.

Yes and No.
First, you can pretty much build a profitable affiliate marketing on everything. Do you have a passion to talk about a niche where there is a small interest group? Or are you just only in for money?
Most of the time, people who are in for just money do not have passion to talk about it and only delivers half-baked articles. There is no information that readers will benefit from it and neither does the website owners too! Then what happens next? Readers don’t get all the information they need to know and leaves which results in low conversion rate.
But then, again, it depends on the niche you are choosing. For instance, if you are into cameras then you might face a lot of fierce competitors. There are a lot of big brands that is selling cameras as well blogs about it. Everyday, there are always people reading articles about cameras and deciding whether to buy it or not.
What if you love to talk about something like pool tables or fishing which has smaller interest groups compared to cameras. You still can build a profitable affiliate marketing off these niches too and they are big sellers.
Everyone starts out in the same boat. You start with a website with no content. Nobody is going to bother you regardless of niche you pick. And they definitely will not pay attention to you until you have some content to show off that is worthy enough to grab their eyes.
If you don’t have any content to show. Then it is not going to get visited by visitors and you will not have the opportunity to make money.
See how this works? It doesn’t matter what niche you choose as long as you are willing to show off the content you have for the readers to gather information.
The main focus of affiliate marketing is your readers and the end goal is provide them information why they should buy it. That’s all.
If you are looking for extra way to boost your income. There are at least five effective ways you can do to make money off blogging and affiliate marketing at the same time.
There is no time frame how long it takes to build a profitable affiliate marketing website. How long it takes is entirely up to you. In fact, there are few factors that is completely out of your control. However, there are some factors that is in your control and you can take advantage of that to create a profitable and successful affiliate marketing website.
Starting with what you can control to build a profitable affiliate marketing website:
What you can’t control and beyond is out of your reach to build profitable affiliate marketing website:
Sometimes companies will change their commission rates for the better and in some case for the worse. In events where companies decides to stop selling products which they pretty much can do without notifying you that they have discontinued a specific product.
However most of the time when a product is discontinued. You will still get commission for whatever products the referred person buys within the same company. The only time you will not get commission is if the cookie expires.
After seeing the benefits that being an affiliate marketer has, you are probably thinking to yourself and convinced that you want to start one now.
There are two ways you can do to start affiliate marketing. First and foremost, you can register with Siteground and have them set up the website for you. However, all the information about affiliate marketing, SEO tips, and more are completely on your own. Which means you need to do the research yourself.
But, if you prefer to have a lot of help and a mentor who will guide you through the journey to become a successful affiliate marketer. Wealthy Affiliate offers starter account that gives you access to training course, interacting with other members and learning tips from your peers for 7 free days. No credit card required.
Because of their training courses, there are some successful affiliate marketers making their first sales within one to two months.
So, therefore it is possible that you can start making sales as soon as you start investing into your website with guided support. And the rest of building a profitable affiliate marketing website is up to you.
In fact, you only need either Siteground or Wealthy Affiliate to start your very own making money website. Then you need to register for either ShareASale or ClickBank. If you want to maximize your potential, you can use both as long as they have products that you can promote within your niche.
