How to Start and Grow A Profitable Drone Business In 7 Steps

The drones is becoming an extremely popular side gigs in today business. Starting your own profitable drone business can be an extremely lucrative way to hustle extra side money. According to Federal Aviation Administration, they predict that there will be 450,000 commercial licensed drone operators.

And there are a lot of well paying clients that pays between $100 to $250 for a single flight mission that takes around 2 hours. Sometimes there is some clients that pays up to $10,000 for training. Starting your own drone business can be both lucrative and profitable way to make money.

Of course, like every other business, you need clients in order to make money. In this article, I am going to teach you how to start and grow your own successful and profitable drone business. For starters, you can check out Drone Pro Pilot Academy.

Also, if you want to jump start making money with your drones. Then I recommend you to check out these top five best money making drones for your business. At the end of article, I will provide you useful tips such as what to do and don’t.

Without further ado, I am going to teach you how to start your own drone business and become a successful remote pilot.

Step 1 | Create Your Own Drone Business

First and foremost step of starting your own drone business. You will need to come up with a name for your business. Then you need to have a website to showcase your work for clients to see, and of course to build positive reviews. For your own website, I highly recommend either Bluehost or Siteground.

For your website name, I recommend adding drones, UAV, aerial or anything related to the air. Fitting names like Skyvision.com or Dronevision.com would help catapult your brand. You will have to think of a good logo design that fits the website name. The more fitting it is, the more appealing it is and you will bring in new clients.

Step 2 | Showcase Your Work

Before you can start attracting clients for jobs. You should go out and produce pictures and videos to showcase. Clients are looking for pilots that are familiar with how to take pictures and videos using the drones. In fact, there will be some clients who needs editing done.

It is highly recommended that you familiarize with Photoshop, Lightroom and Premier Pro. If you are a student, you can get the bundled plan for $20 a month. For non-students, it is around $55 a month. Most of the time, clients prefer to edit raw files themselves which gives them great flexibility of how they want to market the footage.

Step 3 | Join A Drone Networking

Your next step to start building a profitable drone business is joining a drone networking group. Drone Pro Pilot Academy is the leading networking organization that helps drone pilots become successful. They have all the tools and resources to help you grow your drone business professionally.

Drone Pro Pilot Academy has built-in lead generation that streams in clients who have jobs for remote pilots. They will list their own budget, location and requirements. You even can bid to increase or lower the budget. But, the most important part about joining a drone network is teaching you how to make money professional and build relationships with new clients.

Drone Pro Pilot Academy guarantees that you will get at least 5 to 10 clients the first month. If you get a client within the first month, you will make 2 to 3 times more money than the monthly subscription fee.

Step 4 | Advertise Your Drone Business

When I started my own drone business, the first thing I did was getting out and meet with the people. I talked with people and promote my drone business. I explained to these people how my drone business can help them grow their business through aerial footage.

Meeting with one person isn’t sufficient. You will need to meet and talk with people as many as you can. Another way you can do to bolster your drone business is creating flyers and banners then hang them on the busy traffic roads.

Additionally, you can try advertising your drone business online such as Twitter or Facebook. But I find it a little bit difficult to do so because advertising online can be very broad. Naturally, you will want to promote your drone business in person. As I find it to have a much bigger impact on building relationship with clients.

Step 5 | Build Your Brand

Once you attract new potential clients, your next step is to build your brand. Which I mean you need to work for the clients, impress them and over-deliver services. Your main focus during this phase is to get positive reviews from your clients. These will be the most important thing for building your brand.

Positive reviews says a lot about what people see and thinks of your business. Generally, the more positive reviews you have for your brand. The more clients will be likely to want to work with you. During this phase, you need to build the brand for your drone business by exceeding your clients’ expectations.

Step 6 | Maintain Relationships

Perhaps the most important part of building a profitable drone business is maintaining the relationships with your clients. If you want to keep a steady stream flow of income. Then you will need to keep an ongoing relationship with your clients.

Having ongoing relationships with your clients can be extremely profitable. I alone made $3,000 off a client within three months because of ongoing relationship and she was very happy with my work. This can be the most important key feature to secure and protect your income assets.

While you are maintaining your work relationship with your clients. You should be also focusing on identifying and finding new clients, using Drone Pro Pilot Academy lead generation. With these kind of relationships, you can easily net around $3,000 to $4,000 a month depending on the payouts.

Step 7 | Market Your Drone Business

The final step of starting your own drone business is marketing it. You want to help bring more customers to your business by promoting it. You should have accumulated at least several reviews and built a good business reputation.

This will give you the leverage that your drone business is serious. I highly recommend marketing your drone business on Instagram and Twitter as both of them can be quite effective and costs you nothing. Facebook on the other hand, is smarter to market your drone business using their paid advertisement.

Investing five to ten dollars a day for 7 days should be enough to attract in new clients within your business proximity. You should be marketing your drone business while you are picking up new leads using Drone Pro Pilot Academy lead generator to diversify your clients, flight missions and jobs.

Hosting Service Providers Showdown: Siteground vs Namecheap! (UPDATED)

Today, we are doing a hosting service providers showdown between Siteground vs Namecheap. In this article, we will compare these two competitors to help you make the decision what to buy the services from them. Few days ago we did a comparison of Siteground vs Hostgator and more recently, Namecheap vs GoDaddy.

To run a profitable affiliate marketing website and successful social media, you need to have a good hosting service provider, right? Without a great hosting service provider, it is a challenge to keep your website afloat consider speed, protection and content plays big factors in how well your site ranks.

Before we start comparing Siteground vs Namecheap. I want to let you know how we will rank them. There will be five categories that determines how well each hosting service providers performs. The five categories are: Pricing Plans, Customer Support, Speed, Uptime, and finally, Security.

Often of the time when a customer checks out a hosting service provider, they are not sure if that hosting company is worth the money. Which is why I created an article about Siteground vs Namecheap to help readers like you understand which one is a better choice for you.

It is also important to keep in your mind that all hosting companies comes with advantages and disadvantages. While it is obvious that there are some really bad hosting companies which you should just completely avoid them at all the cost. Both Namecheap and Siteground are well known companies that makes them serious competitors. Read below to learn more.

★ Round 1 | Pricing Plans

Nobody likes to pay too much money for hosting plans, right? How much money you want to spend to run your website is first and foremost a deciding factor. Both Siteground and Namecheap have different pricing plans. But their packages is very different too, one with a lite version and another one with bundled version.

It depends on your budget and how much you want to spend on. If you are concerned about protecting your websites from hackers and any malware activity. Then you might consider about spending few extra bucks just to ensure that your sites is protected.

In this part, I will compare the pricing plans between Siteground vs Namecheap. I will explain what each hosting companies’ plans brings to the table. Be prepared to learn and see what Namecheap vs Siteground has to offer for your website needs.

Namecheap Domain & Hosting Plans

To register a domain with .com extension will set you back for $10.98 a year. Although there is an ICAN fee surchage which will bring the subtotal to approximately $11.47 to register for a domain. Although, do not underestimate this, Namecheap is one of the cheapest domain register provider that you can buy a domain from.

Namecheap offers three hosting plans: Stellar, Stellar Plus, and Stellar Business. The most basic hosting plan you can get starts at $2.88 a month. There is no introductory price or anything like that. That price is what you will pay a month to keep your website running at Namecheap.

Namecheap Hosting Plans

Unlike the HostGator and BlueHost which uses introductory month to reel in buyers, Namecheap is very straightforward and upfront with their monthly pricing plans You also can purchase their hosting plans for one year and get a small discount.

Even more so, the plans comes with free SSL certificate, cPanel, personal e-mail and of course a WordPress installed on your websites. As you can see, the basic hosting plan offers you 20GB of webspace which is actually a lot if you are managing up to three websites and still have plenty leftover.

Plus, you get unmetered bandwidth for any hosting plans you choose. Although, there is special restriction on how fast you can download and upload the files on the websites. The bandwidth are reset based on hourly. Stellar Business hosting plan have fewer accounts on the server, which means you have more webspace, more bandwidth and are less prone to spammers and hackers.

Though, as their low price almost sounds too good to be true. If you want to have a dedicated IP server for your domain, you will have to pay an extra $2 per month. Although, they do not offer any protection for your website with these hosting plan. You can get Premium DNS which will set you back $4.88 a year. Read more about these plans in details by visiting here.

Siteground Domain & Hosting Plans

Siteground offers you the ability to register hosting plan and domain within the same plan. If you do plan to register for a domain on Siteground, it will set you back around $15.95 for one year. It is slightly more expensive than Namecheap, but it comes with few perks such as domain privacy, protection and of course personal e-mail.

It might be tempting to register for a domain on Namecheap and have Siteground point the nameservers toward the domain because it is cheaper to do so. Unless you are a budget savvy. I do not recommend doing that because it will make the whole process more complex and confusing. If you register both domain and hosting plan within the same company, you will be able to get a better customer support.

When it comes to providing hosting plans, Siteground price is slightly higher than Namecheap. Although for many great reasons plus if you choose to bill annually, you save 60% off the price!

SiteGround Monthly Plans

Siteground does an excellent job outlining what each hosting package have to offer and how much you will get from those plans. If you are looking at the cheapest plan options, you are at slightly disadvantage with a more expensive monthly price. The basic package offers you a webspace of 10GB and you are limited to one website.

Admittedly, it is a great hosting plan if you know what you are going to do. But for many people who are unsure what to do, especially first timers. The basic hosting plan isn’t a great choice. If you do plan to buy a hosting package from Siteground, be sure to read my article how to choose the right hosting plan at Siteground that is worth your money.

Each hosting plan includes featurers from StartUp to GoGeek. Although, if you want to run a website, GrowBig is highly recommended for starters. I can list all the features that Siteground has to offer in their hosting plans. But they are very extensive. You can check their hosting plan details by visiting here.

Regardless, all hosting plans comes with SSL Certificate, Web Protections and Dedicated IP Server for your domain. From the point of view, it sounds like Namecheap is a better choice for those who are budget savvy. But in the end, Namecheap’s packages is essential a lite verison of Siteground’s bundled packages.

Since this round is about pricing, the winner goes to Namecheap.

Winner: Namecheap

★ Round 2 | Customer Support

Perhaps the most important organ of all hosting companies is customer support. Without an effective and smooth customer support, there will be a lot of issues… and of course angry customers. Afterall, as a customer, you want to have your issue resolved, right?

Basically, that is what the customer support does. They read your issues, explore and find solutions for you in timely manner. But communication is also key in the customer support where the customers can be felt like they are understood instead of having to struggle with someone who doesn’t understand their native language.

When it comes to comparing Siteground vs Namecheap, they are very close. Read more to find out which hosting company has the best customer support service center for all your hosting issues.

Namecheap Customer Support

Unlike Siteground, the Namecheap customer support interface is very simple and bland. However, it works just like most of the hosting company customer support services. I only register few domains with Namecheap, so I was curious to see how good their customer support is.

I decided to submit chat ticket regarding to a pre-sale question for hosting plan. Without hesitation, an agent joined the conversation and greeted me. I didn’t even have time to say hello first. Plus the agent have their own face avatar on the top right corner to help humanizes the conversation. Which is actually great on my book.

Below is the conversation between me and a Namecheap agent. It didn’t took more than five minutes for the agent to answer my question. He was very prompted, responsive and answered my questions without hesitation.

Namecheap Customer Support Example

Although, while their customer support service is fast, responsive and honest. They hardly wows me and there was no point why I was convinced to purchase their services. When I compared Namecheap to Siteground. I felt that Siteground has taken a much more friendly approach toward their clients because they are all about taking care of the issues.

Namecheap customer support is U.S based. This means all agents you will meet will be able to understand your issues right away. Especially that majority of the website users are English and there is a high demand for English-speaking customer support to meet the needs.

Siteground Customer Support

Since I switched to Siteground, I stayed with them for almost a year and never felt the need to find a different hosting company. Siteground prides by putting their customers first and taking care of issues immediately. Hence, their motto goes: “Crafted with Care.”

There are at least two ways you can request for customer support. First and foremost fastest way to contact an agent is submitting a chat ticket. You will be taken to a new window with pulsing heartbeat. My wait time for an agent to address my ticket is always under 5 minutes. Plus, they will always be the first one to say hello that you do not even have a time to say hello first.

I really like how they included profile of their agent that helps build connection and humanizes the conversation. Instead of typing back and forth that does sounds a bit too robotic. Below is a conversation between me and one of Siteground’s agent, Martin D. who responded to my issue regarding a domain not loading properly for some reason. As you can see, I got my issue resolved under 4 minutes and he provided an answer how to fix it.

Siteground Customer Support Example

The only thing that sets Siteground apart from Namecheap is their ability to wows their customers by demonstrating their knowledge, skills and providing undivided attention. They are fast, responsive and communicates well. Every tickets I have made with them, I never had a single issue with communication and always left satisfied.

If you are fed up with your current hosting service provider customer support that can’t understands your issue or takes too long time to resolve. Siteground does a great job at resolving issues quickly and in timely manner. Plus their customer support is U.S based.

For these reasons, Siteground is the clear winner this round.

Winner: Siteground

★ Round 3 | Speed Test

Did you know that speed plays an important role in ranking your website pages for search engine optimization purpose? According to statistics, websites that loads fast brings in more traffic which results in ranking high. This is very important if you are looking to improve your conversion rate.

The slower your websites is, the more you are going to lose out on conversion rate and end up hurting your income. Which is why speed is extremely important than ever since it is a ranking factor for Google, Bing and Yahoo! as well other minor search engines.

Let’s find out which hosting service providers is the best pick for speed ranking factor. Without further ado, let’s begin the third round!

Namecheap Speed Test Results

In this section, I will demonstrate the speed results with different combination of plugins such as cache and content delivery network. With WP Super Cahce using Namecheap hosting plan, your website will have an average loading speed of 2.85 seconds. Which is well above acceptable loading time for visitors.

Namecheap Speed TestAlthough, the content delivery network plays a major role in doing all the heavy lifting for your website. The best loading speed you can get is merely 1.01 second with either WP Rocket + Cloudflare or W3 Total Cache + Cloudflare.

I do think Namecheap still can improve their loading speed by enabling compression and caching headers. Even though so, their speed is towered by big brand hosting companies like BlueHost and Siteground. If you wanted to make your website load fast and smoothly as possible, You would have to pay extra in order to achieve fast website speed which is something most do not want to do that.

Siteground Speed Test Results

Siteground claimed that they have the speed technology to deliver your content at blazing fast speed. I tested their claim to verify if it is actually true. With WP Super Cache, the website has a loading speed of 1.81 second, which is considerable faster than Namecheap and meets the acceptable standard.

Siteground Speed Test

Although, you can take the loading speed even further by implementing W3 Total Cache and Cloudflare to achieve a loading speed under 1 second. Best of all, Siteground comes with their own CDN and Cache plugins that are delivered to your website via servers for free.

Which means you will never, never, ever have to install CDN or Cache plugin on your website. This is really important to have lighting fast website. As of current, Siteground is the only hosting company that offers combination of Cloudflare and Super Cache perks to enhance your website performance.

Siteground edges Namecheap out with a mere loading speed of 0.95 second, making it the best website performance service provider to choose.

Winner: Siteground

★ Round 4 | Uptime Time

According to a case study, a website that makes $200,000 an hour is experiencing downtime. For every one minute, that company loses out on the opportunity to generate $833 profit. Downtime always equates to lost traffic which means lost business.

This is common no matter how big or small businesses are. Although, there are certain hosting companies you should keep your eyes peeled if you are looking for one that has an excellent uptime. Having a company that achieves 100% uptime is not possible.

Most realistically, you will see that they are able to maintain at least 99.9% or higher. In fact, some hosting companies like Namecheap and Siteground do offer uptime guarantee that if your website goes below 99.9% of the time, you will be entitled to a free month worth credit.

Let’s compare Namecheap vs Siteground to see which one has the best uptime as they claims to have.

Namecheap Uptime Results

Namecheap on average has a response time of 635.55 millisecond. It doesn’t face too much downtime. Which is actually quite impressive for a hosting company that offers cheap plans and domains. Although, while it has fast response time, it fails to deliver your website content because majority of the content is loaded on your site, not the servers.

Namecheap Uptime Results

However, if you do decided to pay extra for content delivery network and caching plugin to use with Namecheap hosting plan and have the content delivered to your visitors directly from the servers itself. It can really make an impact on how fast and responsive your website is. Namecheap has a uptime rate of 99.5% and greater.

Siteground Uptime Results

Siteground remains relatively stable for major of the time with a couple of spikes. It has an average response of 1085.22 millisecond, which is slightly longer than Namecheap’s response time. Although, it is important to keep in your mind that Siteground comes with built-in content delivery network and caching plugin.

Siteground Uptime Results

Which means that all of your content are already on the Siteground’s server that impacts on how fast your website loads. As for the downtime, Siteground rarely experiences downtime. They constantly have a uptime rate of 99.97% or higher. As you can see Siteground has longer response time, but has slightly better uptime rate than Namecheap does.

It is obvious that Siteground is the winner for the uptime results.

Winner: Siteground

★ Round 5 | Website Security

Did you know that cyberattack is very common and can cause you to lose profit by just hacking your website? As a website owner, it is your responsbility to ensure all the data are protected. If your website gets breached and the data are compromised, you might face legal and regulations consequences.

This is very, very important that you choose the right hosting service provider that will protect your websites. Even if it does come at some extra expenses will go an extra mile.

In this case, you might be wondering which web hosting service provider is geared to provide you a complete website and e-mail security for everyday uses. Let’s find out which one is best.

Namecheap Website Security

Aside from Namecheap insansely low price hosting plans. Their security is minimal at its best. At first, I was very skeptical if they have built-in security already. The chance is likely that they do not have any features implemented to protect users like you from cyberattacks.

I decided to investigate and chatted with Stats Ivanyuk, a customer representative of Namecheap and inquired about website protections. He response to my question was:

Stats Ivanyuk: I am afraid I did not get it quite straight. We do not provide any DDoS protection. In case you would like to use Spam Protection on our Shared hosting. Mod_security is enabled for all the Shared hosting plans by default and in case of suspicious activity, you may be notified regarding it via email.

They do not include DDoS protection or anything like that for your website, but protection for your e-mail systems. If you want to add extra layer of protections, you have to pay extra which makes everything even more complex and confusing. In my opinion, it is not entirely worth the cost at all.

Siteground Website Security

With their incredible speed, world-class response and amazing customer service support. Siteground has one of the best website security for all of hosting plans. No matter what plan you have, shared or reseller. Even if you pick the cheapest plan available, you will have website security included which is kinda a huge deal.

I decided to look further into this and chatted with Totyu H who is a customer representative at Siteground and asked him questions about website protections. His responses to my question literally blew me away how comfortable he was answering me, demonstrating his knowledge in website security:

Totyu H: We do offer indeed DDOS attack protection and here are some of the protections: A hardware firewall filtering flooding traffic. A local software firewall based on IP tables with more complex functions and traffic monitoring. All services have a limit for the number of connections a remote host can establish. We also check for high number of failed login attempts from hosts and filter if any.

On top of this, you can see this article how Siteground protects your website. Also if you are wondering what they offer to protection your site, their list is quite extensive.

After chatting with Totyu H. I felt very reassured knowing that the websites I hosted with them is protected and in good care. Even though, their pricing plans is a little more expensive, Siteground sure knows how to take care of your website.

Winner: Siteground

★ Final Verdict: Namecheap vs Siteground

As you can see it has been a close competition. With Namecheap only dominating in pricing plans. Siteground has beaten them in four important categories.

The final verdict revealed that Siteground is the clear winner and the best web hosting service provider. But, it boils down to your preference and how you want to host your websites.

In my experience, I always think it is worth the extra cost to pay for a better hosting plan with included security and perks. As your website grows bigger, you inevitable will need security and protections against cyber attacks that threatens your money-making sites.

Yes, Namecheap has the cheapest plan which you only have to pay $3 a month. However, in the end is it really worth paying for a lite version of Siteground?

Needless to remind you that Siteground comes with an annual discounted price for those who register with them the first year. You can get 67% discount off your hosting plan for the first year. If you choose the Grow Big plan which is $19.95 a month. You will only have to pay around $80 for one full year.

Good deal, right? Plus Siteground isn’t like other web hosting service provider that engages in shady business practice and pulls off introductory price stunts on their clients.

Now it is your turn to decide which hosting service provider you want to choose and follow these three simple steps to register your website and start running a money making website.

Choosing The Best Domain Registrar: Namecheap vs GoDaddy

Whether you are a budget savvy looking for the best and affordable domain to buy for your web hosting. Namecheap and GoDaddy are the top two domain registrar that often goes in head to head competition. Choosing which one is the best domain registrar to buy can be a little confusing for the first time and those who wants to gets the big bang buck out of it.

Which is why I have assembled a guide on which is the best domain registrar to buy. In this article, I will compare Namecheap vs GoDaddy in terms of cost, protection and perks that they has to offer for registering the domains. Read more to find out which domain registrar you should buy from: Namecheap or GoDaddy?

★ Initial Cost

The initial cost of buying a domain can be quite tempting for some people. Because GoDaddy sells their domain for the first time at insanely low price of $0.99. Keep it in your mind that it is for the first year. After it, the cost to renew your domain at GoDaddy goes up to $14.99 a year.

At Namecheap, the cost to buy a domain is $10.98 a year with the same renewal price. As much as GoDaddy sounds almost too good to be true, if you were to keep and invest in the long run. You will want to run an affordable domain registrar.

To compare, if you were to register a domain with Namecheap and own it for 4 years. You will only pay around $44 altogether at Namecheap. While GoDaddy in the same time frame, you would have already shelled out $46. The cost to maintain a domain at GoDaddy becomes overly expensive than Namecheap in the long run.

Winner: Namecheap

Essential SSL at $14.88/yr V1

★ Domain Privacy

The biggest catch when it comes to registering for a domain is privacy. Majority of website owners will want to keep their domain information private for good reasons as a protection against spammers, hackers and malware.

At Namecheap, you can obtain Whois Guard for free. Best of all, it is yours forever with no additional cost. Once you get it in bundle with domain purchase, you get to keep it. All domains that you buy at Namecheap is protected regardless of how much you spend to maintain your domain.

Although, GoDaddy will charge $7.99 for domain privacy a year. In addition to its already hefty price renewal price for domain, it makes the cost altogether even more expensive than what it should be. Needless to say this, the domain privacy is only $7.99 for the first year. After that, you will have to pay $9.99 to renew it at GoDaddy.

Winner: Namecheap

EV SSL Certificate - 46% Off

★ Discount Price

If you are planning on using a domain for multiple year, you can save big bucks on it. Why spend $15 to $20 to maintain your domain every year when you can just buy and own it up to 10 years for under $100? To draw comparsion how really good the discount is at Namecheap vs Godaddy.

At Namecheap, if you select 10 years, you only have to pay $107.60. That comes with Whois Guard protection already included and your own e-mail for free. GoDaddy on the other hand, only charge you $92.70 for ten years.

But they don’t come with domain privacy or personal e-mail either. If you want to include both and use them for 10 years, you will spend approximately $450 on GoDaddy within the same time frame compared to Namecheap.

Winner: Namecheap

Reliable Dedicated Servers

★ Namecheap vs GoDaddy: Who is the Winner?

As you can see how obvious it is, the Namecheap is the winner. GoDaddy low price might sound almost too good to be true. But it is a business strategy of theirs in an attempt to recruit new members to buy their services. Their cost is often separated and hidden that is quite deceptive.

Namecheap, on the other hand is slightly expensive for the initial cost. But their domains comes with Whois Guard and personal e-mail included. Their price is very stable and reliable, it never changes. Once you buy their domain at certain price, you get to keep it at the same price which is actually very nice.

Out of these three category, Namecheap is the best domain registrar to buy your domains at. Start your domain search by visiting here.

What is Pyramid Scheme and Why Is It Illegal?

Pyramid Scheme

A Pyramid Scheme comes in various forms that can be quite hard to recognize immediately. But they all share the same characteristic. They promise consumers or investors large profits based on recruiting others to join their program. But not based on profits or any real investments of sales to the public.

These schemes involves selling a product buy they often use the product to hide their scheme. There are two signs that can identity whether the companies are engaging in pyramid scheme.

First sign is forcing customers to buy more than what the company can sell at inflated prices. If these ever happen, the people at the top of pyramid reaps in large profit, regardless of how much the market moves. Then the people at the bottom makes excessive payments for inventory that gets added to their basement. Plus, a lack of retail sales is another sign that a pyramid exist.

Many companies that uses pyramid schemes will claim that their product is selling fast. However, these sales only happens between people inside the pyramid structure or new recruits joining the structure. Not the consumers in the general public.

Ponzi Scheme on the other hand, is quite similar to pyramid scheme. Mainly because it involves continuous recruiting but promises no commissions to the affiliates who drives traffic to their website. Instead, the promoter earn payments from stream of people, promising high profit rate for a short term.

Thus, there are no real investment opporunity to be gained from these companies that uses Ponzi schemes. Promoters just use the money from new recruits to pay obligations to longer-standing members of program.

This is like stealing money from people and using it to pay to a member in the structure. Regardless, both schemes are illegal and can be quite seductive when it comes to affiliate marketing.

Why Some Domain Names Are Damn So Expensive?

When it comes to shopping for a domain name, you want to be sure that it fits your website and within the niche. Choosing the right domain names is especially important because they are what represents your website.

Sometimes you will come across domains that have high price tag which easily goes for $3,000 to $5,000. In some cases, I have seen domains for sale that has more than $70,000 price tag on it. These are called premium domains.

Not many people can afford to buy premium domains because they come with high price tag. Not only they are expensive, you have to pay hefty price just to own it. Although the renewal cost is the same as owning non-premium domains.

Unless you are rich, you can easily buy premium domain names and dominate the search engines. Generally, when you enter keywords in the domain address that happens to be generic. It is likely that these domains are for sale at premium rate.

Premium Domains Examples

You might be saying to yourself, whoa these domains are so expensive! Yes, they are very pricey, but if you are owner of these domains. They come with great SEO advantage which I will explain later.

What are the Benefits of Premium Domains?

I have heard of people saying that domains do not matter when it comes to SEO ranking. In fact, they matters a little if you are looking at non-premium domains.

Reseller Hosting with NamecheapHowever, the impact of premium domains has on the SEO factor is a lot bigger than you think. The more generic your domain is, the more often you are going to pop up in the search engines. Which in exchange you get to build your brand and gain trust quickly.

In fact, the generic domain appears in the search engine more commonly because of the keywords that naturally boosts your website ranking. Take this for example, aerialdrones.com. If someone types in “aerial” or “drones” and your website with that domain will pop up because they have these keywords inside.

If you are wondering where you can get premium domains for less. Namecheap is a great domain registrar provider that sells domains for a whole lot cheaper than what you have seen in the picture which was taken by GoDaddy.

Just to show you comparison between GoDaddy and Namecheap price tag on the same premium domain:

Cheap Premium Domain Names

As you can see it cost $73,255 to buy aerialdrones.com on GoDaddy. On the other hand, it only cost $63,700 to buy on Namecheap with a low renewal price tag.

If you have never own a website before, or you are wondering how you can get domain for less price. Instead of shopping at big brands like GoDaddy, you should buy your domains directly from Namecheap.

They are main domain registrar provider and often hosting service providers partners with them which results in artificially increasing the price of domain within the same company. To see how well Namecheap ranks against other web hosting service providers in selling domains.

  • Namecheap: $7.99
  • GoDaddy: $11.99
  • BlueHost: $11.99
  • HostGator: $12.95
  • Siteground: $15.95

Plus your domain can work with any hosting plans of your choice. For this part, I recommend Siteground due to their superior services. And they are running a special discounted price of 67% off any hosting plans for the first year. Read my article why I chose Siteground as my web hosting service provider.

How Premium Domains Will Help You?

It is important to keep in your mind that while they can be quite expensive to own. They comes with several advantages including:

  • Major SEO Boost
  • Trust
  • Brand

As I mentioned previously that these keywords are included in the domain already which contributes boost to your website SEO naturally. This is really a big deal not only because you will be able to overpower your competitors. You will be able to establish yourself as the authority and build traffic quickly.

Search and buy domains from NamecheapPremium domains generally have easier time building trust and allows you to brand the domain that audience can associate quickly.

For instance Apple who is famous for selling iPhone and Mac computer. Their domain is www.apple.com and it is a premium domain. “Apple” is a frequent keyword that averages 3,350,000 monthly, organically. Not from words of mouth or from social media. Purely from organic search.

Just imagine how much traffic they must be bringing in everyday just for having that keyword that builds their SEO naturally. The shorter and generic domain is, the bigger boost you are going to get from bringing in the traffic. Mainly because these keywords are searched commonly and secondly, they are easier to remember.

Plus they are trusted and carry HUGE brand with them.

If you are shopping around for a domain to start your own money making websites like affiliate marketing. The only domain registrar I recommend you to buy from is Namecheap. And they are fully compatible with any hosting service provider you choose.

Where To Buy Cheap Domain Names for Your Websites The Smart Way

Owning a website can be quite expensive especially if you use a major brand hosting service provider to run your site. Most domains will cost you between $10 and can go as high as $16. A single domain will last for up to 1 year and can be renew on annual basis. So where can you buy cheap domain names?

If you are wondering where you can buy cheap domain names for your websites. There is actually a domain registrar that sells domain very cheap. NameCheap is one of the most affordable domain registrar and web hosting service provider that sells domain as low as $7 for an .com extension.

.ai domain registration with NamecheapIf you are looking for domains with different extensions like .life or .club, they usually are priced much lower compared to major brands which has to partner with domain registrar and sells them at doubled price.

For those who are budget-savvy to find a cheap domains for their websites. NameCheap is a hassle-free domain registrar provider. In fact, registering your domain with them only takes few seconds and you can use it with any other web hosting service provider like BlueHost or SiteGround.

But wait, why should you buy a domain at NameCheap when other companies are selling better hosting plans and domains at slightly higher price? Wouldn’t that just makes the whole process complex if I separate the companies?

A domain itself is just only the name and the address of your website. Nothing else. The reason why some companies sells domain at high price is because of partnerships and that adds extra price on top of it.

It would be better to buy from the domain registrar itself even though if it means you have to separate the companies. But in the end, you save more money by having an affordable domain. Thus, you reduce the overall expenditure to maintain your websites.

Bulletproof your Domain for $4.88 a year

How Does A Cheap Domain Impacts Your Website

SEO-wise, a cheap domain doesn’t impact your website ranking or anything at all. But financially speaking, having a domain that costs you $7 a year compared to paying $16 a year is a heck better in the long run.

With a cheap domain, you basically have to sign up for hosting plan with a service provider. I highly recommend Siteground and BlueHost due to their renowned speed, security and value for their customers.

Once you register with either of these web hosting service provider, you will have to point the nameservers to the domain via Namecheap. If you register both domain and a hosting plan within the same company, you wouldn’t have to do that.

However because with a cheap domain and you are looking ad the top two best web hosting service provider, pointing the nameservers is necessary in order to have your website go online.

Luckily, it is very easy to do so. All you have to do is locate the nameservers via your hosting plans and inserts them in the Domain Management list. The domain then will scan and detect the nameservers automatically. If you are not sure how to do that or struggle with it. Contact Namecheap customer support representative and they will do it for you.

Are There Perks for Registering Domain and Hosting Plan Within Same Company?

Yes and No.

I will go with “No” first. There are absolutely no perks you will get for registering a domain with the same company. You won’t get additional features like DNS protection or anything. If you want to have Whois Guard, DNS Protection and other things like that. All of these companies will charge you extra for it.

Web HostingNow, there is a “yes” for registering a domain within the same company. If you decide that you want to switch to a different domain or edit the name within the same companies. Most of them are very willing to do it for free. And like I said before, some companies do bundled features like DNS protection within purchase of domain already.

However, if you separate and you change your mind regarding domain. You will have to go to that domain registrar and request for change. Plus buying additional features will be separate and won’t be bundled with your hosting plan which can be quite expensive in the long run.

So If you want the best features, you will have to pay more for domain to include protections and web security.

But if you just want to own a domain and link it to a hosting plan. Then you are missing out on all the extra features. Which I do not think a beginner will even really need these extra features at all until they have established and grow their website to a sizable amount of audience to consider these protections.

What Other Benefits Does Namecheap Offers for Domain?

There are quite few benefits that Namecheap offers to enhance your online stores by adding certificates to your domain. Such as SSL certificate that plays an important role in SEO factor. You will only find the cheapest SSL certificate at Namecheap, nothing else.

Even HostGator is selling SSL Certificate at an obnoxious amount of $40 per year. A simple business SSL certificate only cost you $8.88 a year at Namecheap on top of your domain. This is the most affordable and budget-savvy to run your website.

Register Your Domains Hassle-FreeNamecheap also offer EV Multi-Domain SSL Certificate and they have the best deals for all domain-related stuff. However when it comes to hosting websites with Namecheap, it is better to do with either Siteground and BlueHost.

Budget-wise, if you want to save money on domain-related stuff. You can register your Domains hassle-free with Namecheap. For best website speed, security and customer service, Siteground offers 67% discount off their hosting plans for the first year.

Web HostingSome affiliate marketers kept on going for months and months before they see their first sale. 90% of the bloggers quit within the first three months because they came with the wrong mindset that they will skyrocket to success and make big cash in the short run.

Affiliate marketing is not great for short term run. But, if you are in for a long run then affiliate marketing is the best method to reap in money passively. In this case, Wealthy Affiliate is the best platform that focuses on turbo-charging and takes your affiliate marketing to a whole new level.

It is also one of the most expensive plan. But they comes with a lot of perks, features and of course training materials to help you get started.

If you are a first time affiliate marketer, you might feel lost and overwhelmed because you are not sure where to start with. I have been there before and I understand how it feels. Which is why I created a monster guide about getting started as an affiliate marketer.

Wealthy Affiliate provides tools and resources to protect your content from malware. As well, ensuring that your posts are unique using SiteContent and SiteProtection. Their tools are automated and scans to ensure that your content are unique which is really important SEO factor.

Depending on what hosting service provider you are using. Wealthy Affiliate can add layer of secure features and advanced tools to further enhance your posts. Thereby, ranking higher in the search engine. Which in exchange brings more traffic to your posts and converting them into buyers.

Wealthy Affiliate was found in 2005 as a keyword site for visitors to help them rank high. Over the time, they have expanded into an international site that serves a simple mission: help people become successful affiliate.

They haven’t changed their mission since and have served more than 1 million community every year. It is also among one of the fastest growing platform. Plus they have the highest success among affiliate marketers who benefited from it. Wealthy Affiliate is running a special discount for Premium Members which you will only pay $19 for the first month to get full access to training courses, chat, interacting with community members and of course perks that starter members don’t have.

How Wealthy Affiliate Benefits You?

As a member of Wealthy Affiliate, you don’t get the same kind of perks you will receive at any other hosting service providers. Remember I said before how it can be quite a challenge if you are a first time affiliate marketer?

Wealthy Affiliate makes it very easy and simple enough to help you jump start. Their tutorials are tailored and very straightforward enough to guide you. Plus, their steps are very methodical and includes checklist that you can check to see what you have done so far.

Their training courses comes in three different ways for you to learn depending on your preference. There is text for those who learns the best from reading the tutorials. Although, there are videos for those who are visual learners. Finally, if you learn the best from participating in discussion and listening to the experts. They have online classroom for every tutorials. It is also a great way to interact with other affiliate marketers and make contribution to the discussion.

While there are at least few platforms that does the same as Wealthy Affiliate. You do not get the same level of support and detailed tutorials that are designed to help you at different platforms other than Wealthy Affiliate.

Plus, Wealthy Affiliate is one of the cheapest and most affordable way to become a member. While getting a lot of help and guides to become successful at affiliate marketing. I have include a demonstration for you to see how Wealthy Affiliate stands against its competitors.

Wealthy Affiliate Marketing Compare

As you can see that being a member of Wealthy Affiliate brings you a lot of benefits. One of the main perk that you get from Wealthy Affiliate is one on one mentorship that will actually work with you. Their mentors also guide you to become a successful affiliate marketers.

The other three platforms do not invest the same amount as Wealthy Affiliate does. These competitors do not invest into their members, unlike Wealthy Affiliate. Plus, Wealthy Affiliate have over 500,000 visitors monthly.

Best of all, it is cheaper to host and work with Wealthy Affiliate compared to these three platforms. Most of people are driven to look for the best platforms that offers them great perks and benefits. Which in this case, Wealthy Affiliate have shown and proven to be beneficial to all users from beginners to experienced.

Is Wealthy Affiliate Worth The Money?

I would be lying if I were to tell you yes. But all in honest, it depends on how often you use Wealthy Affiliate and what your plans are. If you are 100% completely into affiliate marketing and you need a strong platform to guide you through. Plus, you do plan to take advantage of its tutorials, guides and courses. Then Wealthy Affiliate is the clear choice.

Just because Wealthy Affiliate is the best choice for teaching you how to affiliate marketing. It is not a quick way to become rich scheme. Mainly, it teaches you how to make a stable income. That is what is the most important thing about affiliate marketing.

If you are thinking of quitting your day jobs. Then you need to have a stable income that is strong enough to support your lifestyle. How much money you make depends on how you promote content. Also how much time you want to invest into your websites. And lastly, your determination.

Majority of the bloggers who are doing it for the first time will have to wait at least 6 to 12 months before seeing their first sale. That is completely normal. How fast you are bringing in traffic depends on three criteria: age of your website, keyword research and of course how unique your content is.

Some people say that you can bring in a lot of traffic if you churn out content. But I think it is ineffective way to do and burns you out easily. The main focus as an affiliate marketer is to focus on the product and talk about it why your readers should check it out.

The more time you invest into writing a post. The more unique it is and the better it is, which turns over to higher post engagement.

It all depends on how you choose to pace yourself. If you are serious about getting your website up and making money less than the average time it takes to see first sale. Then good for you. And Wealthy Affiliate will guide you through each steps to build a strong website foundation that you can dominate the traffic.

In the end, Wealthy Affiliate is worth the money based on what you plan to do with it and what your mission is. As a Premium Member of Wealthy Affiliate, I would say it is worth the money because you get a lot of perks and advantages. You even can experiment your niche ideas on free domains before confirming to it.

Welcome back, I am sure you are looking for the best affiliate programs to market to start making money on your websites. But today I am going to share my top 7 best reasons why you should not affiliate marketing with Amazon.

I have laid out 7 detailed reasons why Amazon is not the best affiliate program to market with.

And at the end of article, I have proposed at least several best affiliate programs to help you get started making money.

Before I talk about my top 7 reasons why you shouldn’t affiliate with Amazon, I want to share my experience with you as a former Amazon Affiliate Marketer.

When I created my own first niche website about drones, I was very excited about making money by promoting products to my readers.

So I went ahead and signed up on Amazon affiliate program. After seeing their commission rate and cookie duration, I thought to myself it was nothing.

And seeing that I will work hard to bring in money for each sales I made.

Soon I started to get a lot of clicks everyday. But I am not making a lot of sales. Maybe $5 to $10 a day. Then no money for few days.

But I was getting at least 40 to 50 clicks a day. That is a lot which you might say but I wasn’t making any money.

I compared Amazon affiliate program to other companies and I was beyond belief that other programs offers much more lucrative deals than Amazon.

Promoting items on Amazon is easier because they are international recognized brand and trusted by millions. But their affiliate program deals abysmal at best.

However, there are several companies that offers long cookie duration that goes for months even lifetime. The money you make from these companies are much more profitable.

But they are also harder to do so in the end the reward for each customer that buys directly through your links is much greater.

So, it boils down to how you want to do your affiliate marketing business.

Would you prefer to make tiny profit for each promotions, or do you want to make big bang bucks?

Read my top 7 best reasons why you should not affiliate marketing with Amazon.

Very Short Cookie Duration

Amazon Affiliate Program have an incredible short cookie duration that lasts 24 hours only. So there is a lot of risk that you will not make the money after referring your readers to the products.

A customer could be looking at the product and hold on to that decision until they feel ready and put it in their shopping cart.

However, if you referred one of your customer to a product page and they decided to add to their shopping cart. Then the cookie duration goes up to 6 months.

With a very short cookie duration, the guarantee of you making commission off for each referring links is actually very low.

It is likely you will see a lot of clicks, but no sales because it has to happen within the first 24 hours and must be purchased by the referring customers.

Unless you are somehow have a huge website empire and it is possible you will make at least some sales from Amazon. But not by that much.

There are companies that have affiliate programs that is much better than what Amazon has.

Commission Rate is Meh

Let’s be real here. Amazon’s commission rate is horrible. The highest commission rate you can make off promoting products is Amazon Coins and Game Downloads.

Unless you are in gaming industry, you will be looking at an average commission rate of 4% for each sales you make.

Imagine if someone decided to buy a product that is worth $1,000, you will make $40 a pop.

Not also to mention that selling high valued products is much more harder to sell than low priced items. Even if you promote expensive products, it is likely you will see a lot of clicks before making sales.

Amazon Commission Rate

These commission rates are not lucrative at all. To me, I felt like Amazon don’t put enough value in their affiliate and just expects them to do the work while affiliates runs the risk of not making money after 24 hours.

In fact, there are some companies that have very high commission rates as high as 50% to 75%, for instance Wealthy Affiliate which offers their affiliates a generous 50% rate. They haven’t changed their commission rate since they were found and is incredible reputable among affiliate marketers.

No Tiered Commission

Amazon used to have tiered commission which the highest selling affiliates would sell at capped of 8.5% for each sales they make.

In 2017, Amazon announced changes to the commission rate structure which eliminates tiered commission rate to flat rate. These best selling affiliate marketers stood out to lose 15% to 40% of their earnings.

Thus, it create panic among affiliates who depends on Amazon as a source of income. Not every affiliate marketers were happy with changes.

Because of tier commission elimination, the program loses incentive itself. What is the point of promoting items if you can’t climb and earn more profit for selling more items?

Not just only that, Amazon tends to change their affiliate program policy quite often that it cannot be trusted enough as your only source of income.

I get e-mail from Amazon associate program at least once every 2 to 3 months saying they made changes to their affiliate program policy.

It makes me wonder how reliable they are if they can’t value their affiliate marketers enough with low commission rate, no incentives and short cookie duration.

Get Ban and You Lose Profit

Amazon is very strict with their affiliate policy. Some SEO experts suggests that you can use shorten url to cloak tracking ID code as a best practice.

However that wasn’t the case with a person who got banned from Amazon because he decided to cloaked their tracking ID links.

So basically you have to follow Amazon’s affiliate policy. If you do something wrong, you are at their whim and you potentially could lose a lot of money.

I personally don’t cloak tracking ID because I couldn’t care any less, but I think it would be better if you don’t cloak tracking ID so to build trust with your audience.

Not only you will be seen as reliable, reputable and trustworthy, you will have an easy time affiliating with many programs as you want to.

As for cloaking tracking ID, I am skeptical if it is the best SEO practice to do but then again if you are doing that which makes you look like you are doing a shady business practice.

Some companies are very lenient with how you affiliate and drive the traffic to them. But some are not. So it would be far easier if you just do it in uniformed way.

Slower to Start Your Business

Getting started as an Amazon Affiliate is easy. You have a wide access to different types of products, brands and more.

But growing with Amazon is slow and takes months and months before you can start making fat money dough.

Like I said before that they have extremely short cookie duration and low commission rate.

Some of companies in technology sells the same product as Amazon but with better commission rate, longer cookie duration and comes with more customer-focused benefits.

What I meant by customer-focused benefits is that the products which are bought directly from the company itself usually have longer warranty period, customer support, and more.

If the customers bought something from Amazon and needs help with it, Amazon don’t have specialized customer support for that because they are just a giant retail drop shipper.

Customers might ended up getting frustrated with the product they bought and returns it.

Which means you will lose money. It is very, very easy for customers to return their items via Amazon.

Harder to return items via companies because they will do everything the best they can to ensure customers are happy and you get to keep a slice of profit.

No Lucrative Deals

As I mentioned previously about tiered commission rate system. Amazon used to have it but now they don’t.

All of the commission rate are flat, dull and boring. There are no incentives to increase your commission rate if you sell more.

You are likely to make at least few pennies off promoting low-priced items. But you would be very lucky if you managed to sell high-priced products for few bucks.

As an Affiliate Marketer, a commission rate between 4% to 5% and a cookie duration of 24 hours isn’t lucrative at all.

If you are looking to make income based on affiliate marketing, you can’t just depend on Amazon alone.

You need to diversify and become affiliate with companies in your niches.

For instance, if you have a niche website about drones, then you will want to affiliate with DJI, Hobby tron and other companies that sells drones.

The same is true for all companies that have better deals for their affiliates.

Amazon Don’t Value Their Affiliates

This is somehow true in some form of factors.

Most companies I see treat their affiliates well like kings and queens. With high commission rate and good conversion rates, these affiliates are making great income for each referrals they drive traffic over to the companies’ website.

Some companies even have recurring commission payout. Seriously, yes. You probably never thought of that before, but yes there are companies that do that.

When I was an Amazon Affiliate Marketer for at least a year, I struggle with growing my passive income but I was getting at least 40 to 50 clicks a day.

If I wanted to make money, I had to work hard for it to increase clicks so that the likelihood of sales happening will go up.

It wasn’t that easy with a 24 hours cookie duration. However if Amazon changed their cookies duration to 7 days or even better a month. Every affiliates will see their earnings go up dramatically.

But because Amazon is so greedy with their affiliate program, I don’t see that happening anytime soon.
